US insurance brokerage firm Risk Strategies Company (RSC) has purchased D&D Insurance, a Massachusetts based independent insurance agency, in an effort to boost its personal lines coverage as well as expand local presence.
Under the terms of the deal, D&D's founder and principal Mark Vallucci will join RSC as vice president and will assist to further expand the firm's personal and commercial lines business in the country.
Following the transaction, effective immediately, the entire D&D team will service existing and new clients from RSC's Randolph and Burlington offices.
The acquirer said the latest acquisition was the fourth in the last two years and second in the Boston area in the last nine months.
It acquired Needham, Massachusetts based global insurance network, a real estate/condo market insurance specialist, in December 2011.
The firm operates as an independent insurance agency delivering auto, home and business insurance based in Burlington, Massachusetts, US.
RSC is engaged in distributing property and liability insurance and employee benefits insurance products to both privately held and publicly traded commercial clients and individuals.
