Switzerland-based PTI Europe, a subsidiary of Plastic Technologies, has set up a Mocon-certified testing laboratory at its Yverdon facility in Switzerland for permeation of oxygen and carbon-dioxide.
The laboratory would deal with rigid, semi-rigid and flexible packaging materials and finished packages using the permatran and Ox-tran units.
PTI-Europe technicians have been trained on Mocon corporate test lab methods, protocols, and record keeping for the desired quality.
PTI-Europe managing director Thierry Fabozzi said the firm's association with Mocon would enable PTI-Europe's brand owner customers to have one-stop access to permeation testing with gold standard.
The facility is meant make sure that the testing standards they have established in other parts of the world can be repeated in Switzerland, the firm stated.
